Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

Who is The Hysterectomy Diaries for?

This is a space for women considering a hysterectomy, preparing for surgery, recovering or finding their way afterwards—including those navigating surgical menopause. You’re welcome wherever you are in your journey.

Do I need to have had surgery to join the community?

No. You’re welcome if surgery is being discussed, you’re waiting for a date or you simply want to hear other women’s experiences. You can join conversations or quietly read until you feel comfortable.

Is the community free?

Yes, our Skool community is free to join. Paid journals and downloads are separate, optional purchases.

Do you provide medical advice?

The Hysterectomy Diaries shares personal experiences, reflection tools and practical resources. It doesn’t provide personalised medical advice. Your healthcare team should guide decisions about surgery, treatment and recovery.

What is My Hysterectomy Journey?

It’s a guided journal being developed to help you record your questions, prepare for surgery and reflect on recovery and life afterwards. It includes a letter to your future self for the days you need it most.

Can I order the physical journal yet?

The journal is coming soon. Printing details, pricing and availability are still being finalised. Join our email updates to hear when it’s ready to order.

What are digital downloads?

They’re resources you receive electronically rather than through the post. Each listing will explain what’s included and whether it’s designed to print, read on screen or complete digitally.

Are the digital resources available yet?

We’re creating the collection now and will add resources as they’re ready. Some will be free, and others will be available to buy. Each resource will clearly show which applies.

Will you be hosting live conversations?

Yes—weekly conversations with women sharing their hysterectomy experiences are being planned. Dates and joining details will be announced once confirmed.

Can I share my story?

Yes. If you’d like to express interest, use our Contact page or email hello@thehysterectomydiaries.com. We’ll discuss what taking part involves before anything is shared publicly.
